1. What are Internet cookies?
parcels of text sent by a server to a web browser and then sent back unchanged by the browser each time it accesses that server.

2. What are packets?
a packet is a formatted block of information carried by a computer network.

3. What route do packets take over the Internet?
the entire Internet is often regarded as a "network cloud" where data pumped in one side mysteriously emerges from the other.

4. What is a 404 error on the web?
The 404 or Not Found error message is an HTTP standard response code indicating that the client was able to communicate with the server, but either the server could not find what was requested, or it was configured not to fulfill the request and not reveal the reason why.

5. What is 'e-commerce'?
Commerce that is transacted electronically, as over the Internet.

6. What is the difference between ebay and craigslist?
On ebay, you just buy things off of the internet. On craiglist you just see ads to buy things.

7. What is SSL?
Secure Sockets Layer.

8. What are the two major ways for home users to connect to the Internet via a high speed connection?
Internet Explorer and Firefox.

9. What is a T-1 line?
Digital signal 1 is a T-carrier signaling scheme devised by Bell Labs.
